"Stoichkov-The Film" is conceived as a national project, but will also go beyond the borders of the country to present Bulgaria on the world stage. The film will take viewers beyond the image of Stoichkov and will reveal the most dramatic, most intimate and greatest moments in the life of the man who has become an emblem. The production is directed by Martin Makariev, the creative team also includes Alexander Sano and journalist Vladimir Pamukov, and the screenwriter is Georgi Angelov. The project is supported by Winbet and the Municipality of Plovdiv. The international partner for the realization and distribution of the film is Cloud9 Studios. The image of Hristo Stoichkov has become a symbol of hope, enthusiasm and desire to win. The boy from Plovdiv, who did not give up on his dream of playing for the national team, and today has in his museum not only the Golden Ball - for the Best Footballer in the World in 1994, but also the Golden Boot for Top Scorer at the World Cup in the USA in the same year. The candidates who will appear at the casting must possess precisely this passion and dedication in order to succeed in reincarnating in the image of the beloved football player.
